Under News Amy Sue’s Place “Review: Don Francisco’s Coffee”

It arrived wrapped like an elegant present– three bags of Don Francisco’s coffee! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE coffee, and was very excited at the opportunity to review a brand I had not yet tried. The box appeared to be a custom made box, and the coffee was wrapped in deep brown tissue paper, sealed with a gold Don Francisco’s sticker…oh la la!

About Don Francisco’s, from their website:

“In 1984 we created the distinctive Don Francisco’s Coffee brand. We named it after our beloved family patriarch, Don Francisco Gaviña. Since then, we’ve taken great pride in sharing these flavorful and aromatic whole bean and ground varieties with you and your family. Over the years, Don Francisco’s Coffee label became the leading retail brand in Southern California, and it’s now among the top 10 coffee brands in the U.S.”

What I received:

I received two 10 oz. bags of ground coffee and one 12 oz. bag of whole bean

  • Breakfast blend, ground: An excellent, full bodied way to start the day!  This blend will get you up and moving! This is a dark roast, and my favorite of the three I received.
  • Cafe blend, ground: I enjoyed this coffee in the evening, as it was perfect for after dinner. It is a dark roast that is full of smooth flavor!
  • Vanilla Nut, whole bean: YUM! Another great coffee for anytime of day. The vanilla nut flavor is not overpowering or overly sweet at all. Very enjoyable!

I tend to find a coffee that I like and stick to it. Don Francisco’s certainly offers enough varieties to please even the most picky coffee drinker! The prices are reasonable, and I particularly was impressed with the manner in which my samples arrived. The online shop offers a great variety of gift baskets, and with the holidays just around the corner, I am looking forward to introducing friends and family to this delish coffee, as the online store locator indicates Don Francisco’s coffee is not available in any stores near me.

You can connect with Don Francisco’s on Facebook and Twitter, in addition to their website.
